A struggling dog was found with an extremely swollen belly, appearing as if it might burst. She lay on her back, unable to stand, clearly frightened and distressed.
A compassionate passerby discovered the dog and decided to offer her assistance. However, the dog was mistrustful and anxious when approached by humans.
“Don’t worry, we’ll take care of you,” the man reassured her.
The passerby quickly contacted a nearby animal rescue organization, expressing urgency about the dog’s dire situation. The team arrived promptly to help.
“We’ve located her. She’s very heavy, likely having endured challenging days giving birth on the streets,” one of the rescuers explained.
They transported her to their clinic, where a veterinarian diagnosed her with excessive fluid in her stomach but confirmed that she would survive.
Within just one day at the clinic, the dog began to regain her strength and appetite, managing to eat some soft food. It’s heartening to know she is now receiving the support she desperately needed.
“For now, she’s safe and in good hands. We’ll do everything we can to ensure her full recovery,” the veterinarian assured.
