A heartbreaking scene played out recently on the side of a busy road where a severely malnourished dog lay in desperate need of help.
For weeks, pedestrians and drivers hurried by without stopping, ignoring the struggling animal. Finally, a concerned boy shared the dog’s plight on Facebook, catching the attention of Bianca Georgescu from Amicii Dog Rescue.
Bianca wasted no time and brought the dog, now named Bianca, to a veterinary clinic. The dog’s condition was dire.
Weighing merely 6 kg, she was infested with maggots on her legs and had a grim 1% chance of survival. Despite these odds, the team got to work.
In the clinic, TAC Medicina Veterinara Sociala devotedly cleaned Bianca’s wounds and began a rigorous treatment plan. For the first time in ages, she was given food and water, and though she nibbled only a little, it was a hopeful sign.
Over the following two weeks, the veterinary team monitored Bianca’s progress and provided intensive care. Slowly but surely, she took her first cautious steps, regaining her strength under their watchful eyes.
Daily treatments helped her wounds heal, with each new day marking improvement in her health.
Today, thanks to the dedication and compassion of the veterinary staff, Bianca has made a remarkable recovery. She is ready to leave the clinic and move to a foster home, a testament to her resilience and the exceptional care she received.
She has since found her forever home, embraced by a loving family in the UK. The once-suffering dog now enjoys a happy and healthy life, forever grateful to those who gave her a second chance.
