In a world where many animals go unnoticed as they seek kindness and compassion, a small dog’s story took a fortunate turn one day at the Log Cabin in Springfield.

While the staff at the Log Cabin were immersed in their usual preparations for upcoming events, an unexpected discovery was about to change everything.

Hanna, a vigilant employee, spotted something moving near the parking lot. Her curiosity piqued, she alerted her colleagues, Casey Becker and HR director Brianna, who decided to investigate.

What they found was heartbreaking—a tiny, terrified dog curled up under a dumpster, trying to find refuge from the world around him. The little creature appeared exhausted, having likely been wandering alone for some time.

Recognizing that the pup needed immediate assistance beyond what they could provide, Casey and Brianna reached out to Holyoke Animal Control.

While waiting for help to arrive, they ingeniously crafted a barrier using milk crates to prevent the dog from fleeing into the adjacent woods.
