Consider Prince, a charming black-and-white canine with soft fur and a gentle nature akin to a loyal friend. His radiant smile seemed to light up any room he entered.
For a moment, it appeared Prince’s dreams of a loving home had come true. However, his journey took an unexpected turn.
Prince’s story found hope when PawSafe, a rescue group in Connecticut, saved him from an uncertain future at a bustling municipal shelter. With their care, Prince was finally safe, able to heal, and gain strength for the next chapter of his life.
His search for a family seemed promising when he met a man connected to the rescue. This individual felt an immediate bond with Prince and promised him a permanent home.
Their meeting was magical, filled with affection and high hopes for the future. It was a moment every rescuer dreams of.
Unfortunately, this happiness was short-lived. Soon after adoption, his new owner took a job that required frequent travel, making it impossible to continue caring for Prince.
“Sadly, his owner became too busy with his own forever to remember Prince’s forever and he’s back at the shelter,” PawSafe expressed in a TikTok post.
Forced to start over, Prince found himself back at the shelter, confused and saddened. Despite the setback, the rescue team remains optimistic about his future.
Prince, bursting with affection and friendliness, is known for his impeccable manners. He is housebroken, comfortable in a crate, and loves meeting new people.
“He’s a very sweet boy, housebroken, crate trained, and very good with everyone he meets. While his photos do not do him justice, he’s kinda sleek and kinda scruffy all in one.
He’s been bounced around a bit while his previous owner traveled and has adjusted wonderfully each time,” noted the rescue group.
Everyone hopes Prince will soon find a new family. He deserves a stable home full of love, where promises are never broken. A shelter is no place for him to spend his days; he is ready to experience a committed and caring home.
