Alyssa revealed that Lupin’s heritage includes German Shepherd, Alaskan Malamute, Irish Wolfhound, English Mastiff, Anatolian Shepherd, and Great Pyrenees.

“When he was a pup, he had just a few gray whiskers on his chin, and we assumed they might disappear eventually. Ironically, they multiplied into the feathering you see today,” Alyssa shared.

Despite his striking look, Lupin is known for his friendly and gentle nature. “It’s delightful seeing people’s reactions when they meet him; he enjoys rubbing his face against their legs, just like a giant cat.

Many say he resembles a werewolf, and they’re quite right,” Alyssa commented.

By merging breeds such as German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamutes, Akitas, Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Anatolian Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, and English Mastiffs, an exceptional lineage was formed.

After decades of selective breeding, the American Alsatian emerged, characterized by features including erect ears, golden eyes, dense coats, and robust facial structures, along with temperaments centered around loyalty and companionship.

Lupin is part of this rare breed, combining the look of a bygone era with the tenderheartedness of a contemporary family pet.
