When facing tough times, take inspiration from Snickers, the street dog with a heart full of kindness.
Despite having very little of her own, Snickers spreads joy and gratitude wherever she goes, often surprising people with her generous nature. She is among the many dogs cared for by Niall Harbison, who dedicates himself to feeding these animals each day. Snickers, however, stands out by always finding a way to express her thanks.

Snickers’ life began in a loving home as a puppy, but circumstances led her to a life on the streets. She now shares this life with countless other dogs, living without the protection of a home and constantly facing the dangers of street living. Yet, Snickers remains cheerful and resilient.
Harbison, who runs the Happy Doggo sanctuary, is one of her daily benefactors. In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude, Snickers decided to give back. Her gifts, found on the streets, ranged from an old flip flop to various other found items such as water bottles and sticks. Harbison shared Snickers’ touching story on his X account, and her sweet deeds quickly captured the hearts of many.

Her story gained widespread attention, prompting Harbison to offer her an even bigger gift: a place in his sanctuary and a bundle of toys all for her. As Harbison joyfully noted on social media, “After giving me over 100 presents on the streets, it was time to give her an entire gift set of her own to welcome her in.”
Snickers seamlessly adapted to her new environment, transforming into a “soon-to-become family dog.” She learned to play and interact happily with the other rescues and enjoys cuddling up with her foster dad.

“We’ve always known Snickers would make a wonderful family dog, and seeing her adapt so quickly just makes us even more excited to find her the perfect home soon,” Harbison shared on Instagram.
Now safe and sound, she eagerly awaits the day when she will have a family of her own. As Snickers basks in the joy of her sanctuary life, she reminds us all that kindness, no matter how small, can be transformative. As Harbison put it, “All she had to give was whatever she could find on the streets and her entire heart. You’ll see Snickers on a couch with her very own humans soon.”
Good luck on your journey to a forever home, Snickers!
